Hamptons Verified
Press01 / 01

An independent, self-verifying guide to the Hamptons and the North Fork — built by one person, audited by machines.

How we work →

Hamptons Verified is a free guide to the East End — restaurants, beaches, wine, wellness, nightlife, and everything happening this weekend. What makes it different is structural: two autonomous agents re-verify the guide against the real world every week, and a battery of automated checks blocks any release that contains a dead link, a wrong photo, or a claim that cannot be traced to a source. The honesty is enforced by the build system, not by good intentions.

Fast facts

  • ~1,200venues covered, every one source-verified
  • 969venues with live Google hours and an “Open now” state
  • 145verified events across July–August
  • 36beaches with parking-permit rules explained
  • 87automated checks that must pass before any release
  • 2autonomous weekly verification agents (venues · events)

The story

The weekly sweeps catch what the big platforms miss. One July run flagged 36 venues for review; after verification, 28 were marked permanently closed and 7 temporarily — including places that still look open elsewhere online, years after closing. The same run caught the reverse: a venue that had reopened under a new name and was still listed as closed. Corrections ship automatically.

The guide is independently run — no parent company, no investors, no display ads, no tracking pixels — and the editorial-independence policy is public: editorial verdicts are never for sale.

Press contact

Interviews, background, or a live walk-through of a weekly verification run: send us a press enquiry. We answer quickly, and we would rather show you the audit logs than a press release.
