The walk
Southold Town preserve with a boardwalk through a freshwater swamp and a short upland loop. Excellent spring migration birding. Quiet even in July.
Access & parking
NY-25 between Southold and Greenport; watch for the preserve sign on the north side.
Parking: Free lot off NY-25 at the trailhead kiosk.
