The walk
Southold town preserve on the historic Fort Corchaug site. Short woodland trail with interpretive signs about the Corchaug people, the 1600s wigwam reconstruction, and a salt-marsh overlook on Downs Creek.
Access & parking
Main Road (NY-25) in Cutchogue; lot on the south side near the cemetery.
Parking: Small free Southold Town lot on Main Road.
